Therapoetics: International Journal of the Humanities is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Professor Kontein Trinya International Conference. In times past, great scholars whose theories are propagated today did not write a book, but their lecture notes and classroom works were put together by their students to project the theories we study today. Therapoetics in the nineteenth century focused more on the doctor-patient relationship as a branch of medical studies, examining the relationship between poetry and medicine. Today, scholars have looked at that concept from other perspectives, addressing social issues in Literature, Social Sciences, Education, Humanities, Communication and Media Studies, and more. Self-therapy requires words at every level for effective communication, which itself is fundamental to human existence.
Therapoetics journal publishes twice yearly papers that are presented during the annual Professor Kontein Trinya International Conference as a conference edition and other papers as non-conference editions. The major focus is on advancing the scholarly works and thoughts of Professor Kontein Trinya. The journal receives multi-disciplinary articles from scholars, but not limited to the dynamics of affective art, language and communication studies. The editions shall be available in print which shall be mailed to authors at an affordable cost, as well as in e-copies at the conference website. Authors shall receive a complimentary print copy of the edition in which their article appears.
